Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Site Engineer (Civil) for projects in Limerick. You will work with an experienced team on water and utilities sites, liaising with the Project Manager and ensuring site drawings are accurately set out.

The role requires a 3+ year track record, a civil/construction degree, proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project, and a valid Irish driving licence. You will manage subcontractors and maintain QA and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a similar civil/site role.
• Degree in construction/civil engineering is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project and IT skills expected.
• Strong subcontractor management and client liaison abilities.
• Excellent problem solving and prioritisation skills.
• Accurate record-keeping and clear communication essential.
• Experience with GPS and Total Station setting out is preferred.
• Full Irish driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure clear communications.
• Review site drawings and specifications; set out on site.
• Carry out site tasks including concrete works and traffic management.
• Manage subcontractors and site staff on day-to-day activities.
• Coordinate plant and material on site for efficient workflows.
• Adhere to QA policies and company quality standards.
• Attend site meetings and raise/resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain health and safety compliance at all times.
• Provide progress reports to the Project Manager.
