Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Site Engineer for a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in Lusk, North Dublin. The role focuses on day-to-day engineering duties on site.

You will bring at least 5 years of site-based civil/construction experience, with setting out, GPS, levelling, AutoCAD and Procore proficiency, plus strong communication and teamwork skills. A full driving licence and ability to travel between sites are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (minimum Level 8 or equivalent).
• At least 5 years’ experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering or construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, site procedures, and health & safety regulations.
• Proven experience with GPS equipment, levelling instruments, AutoCAD, and Procore.
• Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support daily site operations across civil engineering works.
• Carry out setting out duties using GPS and levelling equipment.
• Verify all site measurements, lines, and levels to ensure accuracy.
• Undertake site surveys and produce as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress on site and maintain accurate site diaries and records.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with H&S requirements.
• Support resolution of technical and construction-related issues on site.
• Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and quality standards.

A Site Engineer is required for a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in Lusk, North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a growing organisation and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality civil engineering works across a busy project environment.

The successful candidate will have solid site-based experience within civil engineering or construction and will be confident handling day-to-day engineering duties, including setting out, surveying, and site coordination.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary circa €65,000 - €75,000 (depending on experience)
