Job summary

Clancy is hiring a Site Engineer to support projects in the Gorey, Co. Wexford area.

The role focuses on setting out and achieving correct level alignment across the site, while coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and the broader on-site team to ensure accurate information and safe, high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree with at least three years’ experience, strong communication, and proven ability to read drawings and plan works to meet program targets

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with a minimum of three years in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Experience liaising with consultants and subcontractors on site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site engineering function with emphasis on setting out and correct level implementation.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and workforce to ensure accurate information.
• Review design details and communicate with designers to provide construction information.
• Develop design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings and info from subcontractors.
• Read and interpret drawings for layouts and materials measurement.
• Plan works to meet program targets while maintaining safety and quality.
• Order and control on-site materials and maintain site records.
• Check plans, drawings and setting-out coordination; attend regular team meetings.
• Ensure safety, sustainability and quality management with BCAR coordination.

We are hiring for a Site Engineer to work with us in the Gorey, Co. Wexford area.

Key Responsibilities include :

• Responsible for the overall engineering function on site with particular emphasis on setting out and implementation of correct levels across the site.
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and the general workforce involved in the project to promote the accuracy of the information.
• Reviewing detailed design and where necessary to critique and communicate with designers to ensure adequate information is available for construction.
• Coordinating the development of design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings and technical information from subcontractors.
• Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
• Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved without compromising on safety, quality or integrity.
• Ordering and control of materials on site.
• Maintaining site records pertaining to the engineering function.
• Checking plans, drawings and implementation of setting out coordination.
• Attending regular meetings with the team and interacting continuously.
• Safety, Sustainability and Quality management coupled with BCAR co-ordination.
• Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site and ensuring that regulations, best practice and internal standards are adhered to and achieved.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Engineering Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
• Methodical practitioner with exceptional and demonstrated technical and problem-solving skills.
• Client/Consultant interface with regards to the engineering function.
• Confident in supervising site works and engaging with the team.
• Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
• Strong communication skills – oral and written. Fluency in English is required.
