We are hiring for a Senior Site Manager to join our team in Limerick.
Key Responsibilities will include :
- The ability to work alongside the Contracts Manager to lead and manage the Site team (Site Managers, Assist Site Managers, Site engineers and design / package managers) to ensure successful delivery of the project scope.
- Prioritising site safety and aid in embedding a strong culture of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental excellence.
- Review design drawings critically and identify problems that may exist with the coordination of information between the various design disciplines. Lead resolution to these problems with the assistance of the Project Managers & Commercial teams.
- Review drawings, setting-out information, and ensure coordination of "builders works" drawings related to MEP services.
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to manage site quality, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Manage day-to-day site operations, including, tracking subcontractor performance, direct labour resource allocation, and overall project progress tracking.
- Liaise with the design team to prioritise the issuing of required construction information in line with programme requirements.
- Chair and host weekly progress meetings with subcontractors and ensure accurate documentation and records are maintained.
- Control the ordering of materials onto the project. Respecting the submittal process when ordering materials and doing so, in line with this agreed process.
- Attend internal team project meetings (internal reviews, design coordination / development, production planning, method statement review, benchmark development) and provide clear reporting as required.
- Oversee project close-out activities including snag list development and subcontractor management for snag close out.
- Support commercial meetings, ensuring all variations are captured and communicated to enable accurate client change management.
- Ensure to keep an accurate daily site diary.
Qualifications / Experience :
- 10 years’ + experience in healthcare / commercial / residential construction – ideally within a main/specialist contractor.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.
- Excellent communication skills. You will possess the ability to communicate clearly to all stakeholders.
- Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- Confident, experienced individual with strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate and familiar with MS office, excel, project, (or similar scheduling package)
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety management and quality management
- Ability to lead with confidence, mentor and motivate Colleagues and the wider team.
- Fluency in English is required – written and spoken.
