Job summary

Global Professional Consultants are recruiting a Site Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 Building Contractor in Cork for large-scale residential, commercial and industrial projects. You will set out from drawings, coordinate site surveys, supervise subcontractors, plan works to meet programme targets and ensure health and safety and quality standards.

A third-level Engineering qualification and 2–3 years post-qualification experience are required; driving licence is essential, with vehicle/fuel

• Full driving licence and a valid vehicle/fuel allowance mentioned.

Job description

Site Engineers required to join a leading Tier 1 Building Contractor in Cork for new large-scale residential and commercial and industrial projects. You will be overseeing and ensuring high level quality work and ensuring it complies with the regulations and the general and specific specifications of the project. You will also be working closely with the site personnel to deliver the project to the highest possible standard.

Role:

• Setting-out from engineers drawings, site surveys, as-built drawings
• Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
• Working with subcontractors/general workforce on site
• Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved
• Liaising with clients representatives/Design Team members as appropriate
• Ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest Health and Safety standards.
• Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of quality standards.
• Ordering and control of materials on site.
• Maintaining the site records as required

Requirements:

• Completed a third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline
• 2-3 years post-qualification experience minimum
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme
• Strong IT Skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Full driving license
