Job summary

Eden Social Care in Ireland is seeking a Service Manager to lead one of our children's residential services in Tipperary. You will oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality, child-centered care, and maintain regulatory compliance while building a supportive, trauma-informed culture.

The role requires strong leadership of the care team, budget oversight, and collaboration with HIQA standards and stakeholders to deliver safe, nurturing environments for young people.

About the Role

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operation of a children's residential service. You will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, child-centred care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, legislative, and organisational requirements. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team, promote a positive culture, manage resources effectively, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the residential service
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of children and young people in care
• Provide leadership, supervision, and support to the Deputy Manager, Social Care Leaders and Social Care Workers
• Foster a positive, trauma-informed, and therapeutic culture within the service
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, Child Care Regulations, company policies, and legislative requirements
• Manage staffing, recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development
• Oversee house budgets and ensure effective financial management
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and homely environment for young people
• Participate in the senior management on-call rota
• Lead audits, quality assurance processes, and continuous service improvement initiatives
