Eden Social Care in County Tipperary is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to lead a children’s residential service. You’ll work with the Service Manager to supervise a dedicated care team and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for young people.

The role offers a clear path for development, competitive salary (€45,000–€50,000 DOE) with incremental scale, and benefits such as enhanced maternity/paternity leave, birthday leave, and staff wellbeing days. On-site parking is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or equivalent CORU-acceptable qualification.
• CORU registration or ongoing registration process is required/evidenced.
• At least 3 years' experience working directly with children and young people at Social Care Worker level.
• Experience supporting young people with complex or challenging behaviours.
• Experience in a trauma-informed environment; crisis intervention is desirable.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Support the Service Manager in day-to-day running of the service.
• Lead, motivate and develop a dedicated care team.
• Promote a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for young people.
• Support trauma-informed and child-centred practice.
• Assist with recruitment, supervision, training and staff development.
• Support compliance with HIQA standards, legislation and organisational policies.
• Contribute to audits, quality improvement and service development.
• Support effective staffing, resources and budgets.
• Participate in the senior management on-call rota.
