Job summary

Eden Social Care, based in Carlow, invites applications for Residential Child Care Worker roles. The service provides a therapeutic home for children aged 6–12 and emphasizes strong governance and staff wellbeing from day one.

The positions involve day-to-day care, trauma-informed practices, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. A 40-hour week with rota flexibility including evenings and sleepovers is in place, with progression opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Level 7 qualification in Social Care or equivalent.
• Post-qualification experience working with children and young people in social care or residential setting.
• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals with complex needs.

Responsibilities

Eden Social Care is a children’s residential provider opening a therapeutic home for young people aged 6–12 in Carlow. From the outset, this service has been designed with one guiding principle: safe, consistent relationships are the foundation of effective care, for young people and for staff. We are currently recruiting Social Care Workers who want to be part of building a high-quality service, with strong governance, reflective practice, and staff wellbeing embedded into daily operations.

• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals with complex needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
