Job summary

Eden Social Care is seeking an experienced Service Manager for our North Tipperary children’s residential services. You will lead daily operations, oversee a dedicated care team, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care in a safe, therapeutic environment.

The role requires a Level 7 qualification in Social Care, CORU registration, and 4+ years in residential care. You will collaborate with Tusla, HIQA standards, and local partners to support continuous service improvement and positive

What You'll Do

As Service Manager, you will:

• Lead the day-to-day running of the residential service.
• Lead, motivate and develop a dedicated care team.
• Ensure young people receive safe, high-quality and child-centred care.
• Promote a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment.
• Support trauma-informed practice and positive outcomes for young people.
• Oversee staff supervision, training, performance and development.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA, Tusla and relevant legislation.
• Support audits, quality improvement and ongoing service development.
• Manage staffing, resources and the service budget effectively.
• Build positive relationships with Tusla, social workers, schools and other key professionals.
• Participate in the regional 24-hour on-call rota.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring leader who is passionate about creating positive outcomes for young people.

• A minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant recognised qualification* that meets CORU requirements.
• CORU registration or evidence that your registration application is being processed.
• 4+ years' post-qualification experience in children's residential care, depending on your qualification.
• Previous management or leadership experience in a residential care setting.
• Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs and behaviours.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of HIQA National Standards for Children’s Residential Centres and Tusla requirements.
• Ability to manage challenging situations and make confident decisions under pressure.
• A full, clean manual driving licence valid in Ireland.

* Equivalent relevant qualifications may be considered, including Psychology, Youth and Community Work, Social Sciences, Family Support, Disability Studies, Counselling/Psychotherapy, Nursing and other relevant disciplines.
