BMS Performance Ireland is seeking a Service Manager to build and grow its service division in Cork. You will lead the service engineers, technicians and apprentices, and develop structured maintenance programs with recurring revenue.
The role combines commercial oversight with hands-on leadership, working with sales to identify opportunities, implement KPIs and drive improvements. Based in Cork with workshop/office focus and some site visits, it offers a competitive bonus and company vehicle.
Our client is a leading supplier of flow technology and process equipment solutions, supporting customers across the pharmaceutical, life sciences, industrial manufacturing and process sectors throughout Ireland.
With a strong reputation for technical expertise and customer service, the business is now investing heavily in the growth of its service offering. As a result, they are looking to appoint a Service Manager to take ownership of this strategically important division.
This is a newly created management position focused on developing and growing the company's service business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building a structured service operation, developing recurring maintenance revenue streams and leading the ongoing expansion of the engineering team.
Managing an existing team of service technicians and apprentices, you will work closely with senior management and the sales team to identify opportunities, improve service delivery and implement best-in-class maintenance programmes.
We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within service management, maintenance management, utilities management, process engineering or industrial maintenance environments.
The ideal candidate will have:
Based in Cork, with the role primarily workshop and office-based and occasional customer site visits as required.
37.5-hour week with core hours of 10:00am – 3:00pm and flexibility outside these hours.
This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a service division from the ground up within an established engineering business. Rather than inheriting a mature structure, you'll have genuine influence over the future direction of the department, helping to develop service contracts, expand recurring revenue streams and grow the engineering team significantly over the coming years. It is ideally suited to an ambitious Maintenance Manager, Utilities Manager or Service Manager looking for a broader leadership and commercial challenge.
