The Role

This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Service & Maintenance Department, ensuring high-quality customer service, efficient operations and strong commercial performance. Working closely with senior management, you will oversee service delivery, resource planning, customer relationships and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

About You

Ideal Candidate This role would suit a well-rounded manager who combines strong leadership and commercial skills with a practical understanding of service operations. A technical background is beneficial, but we are equally interested in candidates who have experience leading teams, managing customer relationships and delivering business performance.

Essential Requirements

• Experience in a Service Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead and develop service teams.
• Strong commercial awareness, including quotations, job costing and budget management.
• Excellent communication, organisational and customer relationship skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business management systems.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within the water, wastewater, utilities or environmental services sectors.
• Technical experience within engineering, maintenance, utilities or similar service environments would be advantageous; however, we are equally interested in candidates with strong commercial, operational and people leadership experience.
• Familiarity with municipal, industrial and commercial markets, including Uisce ireann.
• Experience using ERP or service management systems.
