Job summary

EPS Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join the Service & Repair division in Ballyhaunis, County Mayo. You will service, repair, install and maintain mechanical equipment across water and wastewater sites in the West and North West of Ireland.

The role requires hands-on mechanical work, strong faultfinding skills and a full, clean driving licence. The position offers long-term stability with development opportunities and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Mechanical Fitter (essential).
  • Previous experience in water & wastewater sector or similar industrial environment (preferred).
  • Strong mechanical faultfinding and maintenance skills.
  • Good understanding of current health & safety legislation.
  • Organised, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Full clean driving licence (essential).

Responsibilities

  • Servicing, faultfinding, repair and planned maintenance of mechanical plant.
  • Working on pumps including dosing, centrifugal, progressive cavity pumps and associated gearboxes.
  • Installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment on water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Working with pipework materials including PVC, ABS, ductile iron, galvanised and stainless steel.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and site personnel to deliver projects successfully.

About the Role

EPS is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our growing Service & Repair division with a base of Ballyhaunis, County Mayo. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a wellestablished Irish company delivering essential infrastructure services across the region.

If you enjoy handson mechanical work, varied sites and being part of a tightknit, professional team, this role offers longterm stability and rewarding work close to home.

You will be involved in the service, repair, installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment across a range of water and wastewater treatment sites throughout the West and North West of Ireland. The work is varied, practical and technically interesting, with no two days the same.

Key Skills & Responsibilities
  • Servicing, faultfinding, repair and planned maintenance of mechanical plant
