Job summary

Reynolds Commercials in Athlone is seeking a customer-focused Service Advisor (CSR) to be the primary link between transport customers and the workshop. You will manage bookings, check vehicles in and out, and keep fleet managers updated on repair progress.

The role requires strong communication, experience with workshop systems, and the ability to handle cost estimates and CVRT coordination in a busy commercial vehicle dealership.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Service Advisor/Reception role within motor or commercial vehicle sectors.
• Experience with workshop DMS software (Assetminder/Keyloop/CDK) and MS Office.
• Excellent telephone manner and strong negotiation/communication skills.
• Solid understanding of vehicle servicing workflows and CVRT compliance.
• Ability to stay composed and organized under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Welcome Service and CVRT customers, handle inbound booking calls/emails, record vehicle defects and repair requirements.
• Open, manage and update job cards on the Dealer Management System (Assetminder) with labor hours and parts.
• Track job progress and provide proactive repair and cost updates to fleet managers.
• Prepare clear repair estimates, obtain customer approvals, and assist with invoicing.
• Coordinate vehicle testing schedules, paperwork and compliance documentation for CVRT.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings to review the day's bookings, bay allocation and priorities.

Reynolds Commercials is a premier commercial vehicle repair garage, Renault Trucks dealership, and CVRT test centre based in Athlone. We are dedicated to keeping our transport and haulage clients on the road through rapid response times, excellent communication, and clear operational workflows.

We are seeking an articulate, customer-focused Service Advisor / Customer Service Representative (CSR) to act as the primary interface between our transport customers and the workshop. You will manage customer bookings, check vehicles in/out, keep fleet managers updated on repair progress, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Point of Contact: Welcome Service and CVRT customers, handle inbound booking calls/emails, and accurately record vehicle defects and repair requirements.
• Job Card Management: Open, manage, and accurately update job cards on the Dealer Management System (Assetminder), ensuring labor hours and parts are correctly allocated.
• Progress Tracking & Updates: Liaise directly with the Workshop Foreman/Technicians to track job progress and provide proactive, transparent repair and cost updates to fleet managers.
• Invoicing & Estimates: Prepare clear repair estimates, obtain customer approvals before additional work is carried out, and assist with job card closing and invoicing.
• CVRT Support: Coordinate vehicle testing schedules, paperwork, and compliance documentation.
• Lean Management: Take part in daily morning operational stand-up meetings to review the day's booking schedule, bay allocation, and customer priorities.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience: Previous experience in a Service Advisor, Workshop Receptionist, or Service CSR role within the motor, commercial vehicle, or machinery sector is preferred (strong retail/customer service experience with technical aptitude will also be considered).
• Systems Knowledge: Experience with workshop DMS software (e.g., Assetminder, Keyloop, CDK) and MS Office suite.
• Skills: Exceptional telephone manner, strong negotiation/communication skills, and the ability to stay composed and organized under pressure.
• Aptitude: Solid understanding of vehicle servicing workflows, maintenance schedules, and CVRT compliance.
