Job summary

AtkinsRéalis, a leading engineering consultancy, seeks a Senior Engineer (Transportation) to lead planning and design of road, rail, public transport and active travel projects across Ireland from Dublin or Dundalk offices. You will contribute to statutory processes and contract administration while managing teams and client relationships.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status or near chartership, a degree in engineering, and experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD or OpenRoads.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a consultancy and/or construction environment.
• Engineering degree (Level 8/9).
• Chartered Engineer or close to attaining Chartership.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads desirable.
• Strong knowledge of design standards and ability to translate into practical designs.
• Experience in management, planning and design of transportation schemes (Ireland).
• Ability to lead and manage design teams.
• Willingness to develop and build client relationships.
• Experience in tender proposals, leading bids and winning new commissions.

Responsibilities

• The role will involve management, planning and design of road, rail, public transport and active travel projects across Ireland.
• Input to statutory processes (EIAR, CPO), procurement, and preparation of contract documents.
• Contract administration, construction supervision and commercial management.
