Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Engineer/Project Manager to lead planning and design of transport projects in Ireland. Based in Dublin or Dundalk, you will join the Transportation team and work within a dynamic, client-focused environment.

You should bring Chartered Engineer status, an engineering degree, and a strong track record in road, rail or active travel schemes, tendering, and multi-disciplinary leadership. Hybrid/onsite work options and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and design of transportation schemes, including road, asset management, public transport and active travel in Ireland.
• Ability to prepare contract documents, procurement processes, and supervision of construction.
• Experience in tender proposals, leading bids and winning new commissions.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams and manage budgets and programmes, with change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design road, asset management, public transport and active travel projects across Ireland.
• Provide design input to Key Clients and manage sections of the National Road Network.
• Support and manage procurement, contracts, and construction supervision.
• Lead bids, manage budgets and timelines, and build client relationships.
