Job summary

Stripe's Risk team is seeking a manager to lead a team of Technical Program Managers and Product/Program Managers to deliver complex, cross-cutting programs. You will hire, coach, and grow a team of TPMs and also contribute as a TPM on the most challenging initiatives.

This role focuses on cross‑location leadership, defining strategy, managing delivery, and improving communication and productivity across Stripe's global teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience of varying seniority, including managing managers
• 8+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience
• Extensive experience in coaching, mentoring, and career development conversations
• Experience driving technical programs from ideation to delivery at scale and leading teams of Technical Program Managers
• Experience operating autonomously and leading across multiple teams, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones

Responsibilities

• Build, lead and manage high-performing teams, managers, and individuals, across multiple locations, including providing performance reviews, continual feedback, and career growth
• Define and deliver on long-term vision and multi-year strategy for company-wide programs collaborating with product management and engineering leadership/executives
• Define success criteria, delivery plans, track risks, and ensure successful execution of Risk’s most complex programs
• Make substantial improvements to how the teams you work with communicate and operate to significantly increase the productivity and efficiency of the teams
