Job summary

Unipharmedtech is hiring a Senior Systems Administrator to manage on‑prem and cloud infrastructure, ensuring stability, security and high performance across Windows, cloud platforms, and virtualisation. You will install, configure, and maintain servers, storage and networking components, while coordinating with SecOps for security policies.

Responsibilities include monitoring health and capacity, patching, disaster recovery testing, automation with PowerShell, and collaboration with developers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Systems Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows systems.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with networking and diagnosing TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs.
• Hands-on PowerShell scripting experience.
• Disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and security management.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with strong time management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues.
• Preferred: Docker and Kubernetes; monitoring tools such as SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Azure Monitor.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-premises and cloud-based systems and support infrastructure.

• Ensure stability, security, and performance across platforms.
• Monitor health, performance, and capacity; troubleshoot issues for high availability.
• Patch management and upgrades to minimise business disruptions.
• Implement and maintain security policies in line with SecOps; remediate vulnerabilities.
• Liaise with vendors for firewall, VPN, and security tool upgrades.
• Manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans; test procedures regularly.
• Develop scripts and automation for system administration tasks using PowerShell.
• Collaborate with developers and IT staff; document configurations and processes.
