Job summary

Dell Technologies in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Principal Systems Development Engineer for International Product Support. You will investigate and resolve complex product issues across Enterprise PowerEdge Server and AI portfolios, collaborating with Tech Support, Engineering, Quality and partners to enhance product quality and customer experience.

Qualifications

Expertise in advanced server hardware architecture with power subsystem and thermal tech.
Experience in failure analysis, escalation management, and documentation across server hardware.
Strong networking knowledge: Ethernet, TCP/IP, NC-SI, FC, iSCSI, InfiniBand.
In-depth OSI and TCP/IP layer understanding; familiarity with vSwitches and switch configurations.

Responsibilities

Investigate hardware, software, and networking failures across PowerEdge Server platforms.
Lead resolution of complex technical issues with global Technical Support teams and partners.
Represent customer voice in engineering corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Document technical findings, resolutions, and outcomes for knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Support teams to improve product quality.
