Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer Verification in our Research & Development team in Ireland. You will shape verification infrastructure, define strategies for IP/Subsystem and SOC verification, and work across UVM/OVM/SV methodologies to ensure robust designs.

Responsibilities include developing scalable test benches, documenting test plans, and collaborating with design and post-Silicon teams for validation testing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5–7 years of work experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 7–9 years.
• Solid understanding of verification methodologies, metrics, and flows (UVM/OVM/SystemVerilog).
• Knowledge of protocols like AHB, AMBA, AXI, SPI, LIN, UART is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Automotive Functional safety concepts; ISO 26262 qualification is a plus.
• Strong initiative, analytical/problem-solving, teamwork, and multitasking.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Senior Staff Engineer Verification – Research & Development

As a Senior Staff Engineer Verification in our Research & Development team, you'll merge creativity with technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role:

• Actively participate in definition of Verification infrastructure including test bench components, testcases which are scalable and portable across various projects and platforms
• Define verification strategy (constraint random, formal, directed etc.) for digital or mixed‑signal IP/Subsystem and SOC verification
• Be able to work in different verification methodologies including but not limited to UVM, OVM, SV based test benches
• Identify, document and execute test plans on verification platforms, develop and debug random constraint verification test suite to fully verify the design under test
• Actively participate in cross‑functional collaboration with design teams to ensure a successful product delivery; work with post‑Silicon teams to bring up and assist in validation testing

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed:

• A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5‑7 years of work experience or Bachelor's degree and 7‑9 years of work experience
• Solid understanding of verification methodologies, metrics, and flows, including UVM, OVM, System Verilog, functional coverage, code coverage, power aware verification, gate level simulation, etc.
• Basic knowledge of digital and/or mixed‑signal design; Knowledge of protocols such as AHB, AMBA, AXI, SPI, LIN, UART, etc., is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Automotive Functional safety concepts, ISO 26262 qualification experience is a plus
• Self‑motivated with the initiative to seek constant improvements in the verification methodologies
• Possess strong initiative, analytical/problem‑solving skills, teamworking skills, and the ability to multitask
• Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
