Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Ireland seeks a Senior Staff Engineer in Digital Verification to shape verification strategies and build scalable test infrastructures for complex IPs and SoCs.

You will collaborate with design and post-silicon teams, apply UVM/OVM and SystemVerilog, and drive coverage metrics and power-aware verification. Fluent English required and strong automation skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5–7 years of experience or Bachelor's with 7–9 years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in verification methodologies including UVM, OVM and SystemVerilog.
• Experience building verification infrastructure for complex IPs, subsystems or SoCs, including test cases, scoreboards and assertions.
• Knowledge of digital and/or mixed-signal design and communication protocols (AHB, AMBA, AXI, SPI, LIN, UART).
• Understand coverage metrics including functional and code coverage and power-aware verification (UPF, gate-level).
• Programming skills in C, Python, TCL or Perl for test development and automation; ISO 26262 familiarity is a plus.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Collaborate closely with design teams to ensure successful product delivery, and partner with post-silicon teams to support bring-up and validation testing

• Demonstrate strong expertise in verification methodologies, including UVM, OVM, and SystemVerilog
• Experience in building verification infrastructure for complex IPs, subsystems, or SoCs, including test cases, scoreboards, and assertions
• Possess knowledge of digital and/or mixed-signal design and communication protocols (AHB, AMBA, AXI, SPI, LIN, UART)
• Understand coverage metrics, including functional and code coverage, and power-aware verification (UPF, gate-level simulation)
• Utilize programming skills in C, Python, TCL, or Perl for test development and automation; familiarity with ISO 26262 is a plus
• Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
