Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Staff Digital Design Engineer in Ireland to contribute to innovative digital designs for capacitive and touch sensing. You will define design requirements, develop IP microarchitecture and craft RTL and UPF designs, working with Synthesis, Lint, CDC, RDC, MVRC and STA in cross-functional teams.

The role requires a degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering and 5+ years in Digital IC design, with strong problem-solving, English communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog and digital IC design.
• Experience with RTL and UPF design and EDA toolchains for Synthesis, Lint, CDC and STA.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and clear communication.
• Fluent English spoken and written with cross-functional teamwork capability.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

As a Staff Digital Design Engineer, you will contribute to the development of innovative digital designs that support Capacitive Sensing, Touch Sensing, and mixed-signal IP, helping to drive technical excellence and continuously enhance our designs.

• Define and translate design requirements into robust digital solutions
• Develop the microarchitecture of IP blocks
• Design and develop RTL and UPF designs
• Work with key design and verification tools and methodologies, including Synthesis, Lint, CDC, RDC, MVRC, and STA

• A Degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in Digital IC design (multiple roles available)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills , with the ability to think critically and strategically
• Excellent i nterpersonal and teamwork skills , with a pragmatic and enthusiastic approach and a focus on clear, open communication
• Knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog is an advantage
• Experience in RTL and UPF design , as well as with EDA tools for Synthesis, Lint, CDC, and STA
• Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
