Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team development experience.
• Passion for fresh food and high culinary standards.
• Excellent HACCP and food safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of kitchen operations.
• Lead kitchen service and maintain exceptional food quality standards.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation across daily dining and events.
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Assist with menu planning, seasonal dishes, and new menu development.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation.
• Ensure all HACCP, food safety, and health & safety procedures are implemented.
• Monitor consistency, portion control, and food costs.
• Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Head Chef.
• Help create a positive, professional, and high-performing kitchen culture.
