Job summary

Boyle Sports is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to own end-to-end architecture for a high-availability sportsbook platform. You will drive AWS migration, re-architecture of the front end, and the decomposition of a legacy Oracle monolith into event-driven microservices.

The role demands hands-on leadership and deep domain knowledge in betting systems. Based in Ireland with Dundalk HQ or fully remote, occasional travel to HQ is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
• Architect at a recognised sportsbook; casino/iGaming valued.
• Deep sportsbook logic: odds, price, risk, cash-out and settlement.
• Proven delivery of cloud migrations and microservices.
• Hands-on integration with vendors like Sportradar, Seon, Optimove.
• Strong stack knowledge: .NET, React, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the transformation architecture for AWS move and monolith breakdown.
• Lead sportsbook front-end re-architecture with SPA/React.
• Decompose Oracle monolith into event-driven microservices.
• Provide architectural leadership across Dundalk and Serbia teams.
