Job summary

Stelfox is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join a high-performing technology team delivering critical risk management solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment. This contract role is based in Dublin with Hybrid capabilities (3 days onsite) and offers a 6-month rolling arrangement.

You will influence architecture strategy and collaborate with senior stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Solution Architecture or a similar senior technical role.
• Strong experience designing microservices and service-oriented architectures in containerized environments.
• Proven background working with high-volume ETL and data processing systems.
• Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of API-driven architectures using REST and/or GraphQL.
• Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures using technologies such as Kafka or Redis Streams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong experience producing architecture diagrams and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Define and promote architecture standards, development best practices, and CI/CD strategies.
• Lead proof-of-concept and innovation initiatives to evaluate emerging technologies.
• Partner with business, risk, compliance, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Create high-quality architecture artefacts, including UML diagrams, Visio workflows, and technical documentation.
• Drive technology selection, vendor assessments, and solution evaluation activities.
• Mentor development teams on cloud-native architecture, security, and engineering excellence.
• Support the delivery of modern, highly available distributed systems.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years' experience in Solution Architecture or a similar senior technical role. Strong experience designing microservices and service-oriented architectures in containerized environments. Desirable Skills

• Experience with Time Series databases such as Prometheus.
• Exposure to Graph databases including Neo4j or TigerGraph.
• Hands-on Python development experience.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
