Stelfox is partnering with a leading Dublin-based organisation to recruit a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to drive a major cloud transformation within a regulatory reporting environment.

This hands-on architecture leadership role focuses on designing secure, scalable AWS solutions, leading large-scale migrations, and aligning governance with delivery roadmaps for a compliant platform.

Qualifications

• Strong background in cloud architecture, cloud-native technologies, and SaaS platforms.
• Previous experience within banking or financial services environments.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting platforms, with AXIOM experience highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience working within Agile and hybrid delivery environments.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision‑making skills.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work across global and multi-timezone teams.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient AWS-based solutions.
• Lead end-to-end cloud migration initiatives, including SaaS and multi-tenant environments.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and data governance requirements.
• Drive platform scalability, performance optimisation, and cost efficiency.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and DevOps practices.
• Design data architectures supporting auditability, lineage, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with global stakeholders, engineering teams, and business leaders.
• Align architecture strategy with delivery roadmaps and governance requirements.
• Provide technical leadership across cloud modernisation programmes.

This is a hands-on architecture leadership role focused on designing and delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions while leading large-scale AWS migration initiatives.

Please note: Candidates must have banking or financial services experience and a proven track record delivering AWS cloud migration projects.
