Job summary

Stelfox is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect in Dublin, Ireland. This hybrid role combines onsite collaboration (3 days) with remote work, delivering risk management solutions within a large enterprise.

The contract is a 6-month rolling engagement, offering exposure to modern distributed systems and architectural leadership. You will design secure, scalable architectures, lead PoCs, and mentor engineering teams while partnering with business, risk, and compliance stakeholders to translate

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solution Architecture or senior technical role.

Stelfox is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join a high-performing technology team delivering critical risk management solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, business-critical platforms, influencing architecture strategy while collaborating with senior stakeholders and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and document scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions for complex business problems.
• Define and promote architecture standards, development best practices, and CI/CD strategies.
• Lead proof-of-concept and innovation initiatives to evaluate emerging technologies.
• Partner with business, risk, compliance, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Create high-quality architecture artefacts, including UML diagrams, Visio workflows, and technical documentation.
• Drive technology selection, vendor assessments, and solution evaluation activities.
• Mentor development teams on cloud-native architecture, security, and engineering excellence.
• Support the delivery of modern, highly available distributed systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years' experience in Solution Architecture or a similar senior technical role.
• Strong experience designing microservices and service-oriented architectures in containerized environments.
• Proven background working with high-volume ETL and data processing systems.
• Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of API-driven architectures using REST and/or GraphQL.
• Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures using technologies such as Kafka or Redis Streams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong experience producing architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Experience with Time Series databases such as Prometheus.
• Exposure to Graph databases including Neo4j or TigerGraph.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
