Job summary

Stelfox is seeking a Senior Backend Python Engineer to join a Dublin-based team on a long‑term contract. You will design and build scalable backend applications, APIs, and services that support key initiatives in a collaborative Agile environment.

The role requires 5+ years Python experience, strong SQL, RESTful APIs, Flask/Django, Linux/Unix, and CI/CD knowledge. You will influence technical decisions and mentor others while working in a hybrid setup with 3 days onsite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial Python development experience.
• Strong SQL and relational database expertise.
• Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs.
• Strong experience with Flask and/or Django.
• Solid Linux/Unix experience.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Artifactory.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Stelfox is working with a growing Dublin-based organisation seeking an experienced Senior Backend Python Engineer to join their engineering team on a long‑term contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on business‑critical platforms, designing and building scalable backend applications, APIs, and services that support key strategic initiatives across the organisation.
