Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Golang/TypeScript/React) for an Independent Contractor role based in Ireland. You will build a data-intensive platform, spanning Golang backend services and modern frontend apps.

You will own features end-to-end, contribute to technical strategy, and uphold engineering standards. The role is fully remote with US Eastern Time hours, engaging with a distributed team of ~30 technologists.

Qualifications

• Experts in Golang backend services and web applications with Docker deployments.
• Strong frontend experience using React and TypeScript, focused on performance and usability.
• Proficient in SQL and data-intensive applications with relational databases.
• Demonstrates clean-code practices, effective code reviews, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Golang microservices and frontend apps.
• Build performant React/TypeScript components with a strong customer experience.
• Own features end-to-end from ideation to production and improvement.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical strategy.
• Improve observability, performance, and reliability with monitoring and automation.
• Elevate engineering quality through code reviews and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to deliver business impact.
