Lever, Inc. is partnering to hire a Senior Software Engineer (Node.js/Python) based in Ireland for a remote-first backend platform in electric mobility.

You will design, develop, and operate scalable web services and RESTful APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and Python, owning architectural decisions and end-to-end delivery. You will work with AI engineers to operationalize AI tools, mentor colleagues, and drive engineering best practices in a distributed, CI/CD-enabled environment, across

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, and operating production-grade web services.
• Strong CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Proven RESTful API design, versioning, authentication, and pagination.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate scalable web services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Own AI-based backend solutions and work with AI engineers to operationalize Python tools.
• Make high-level architecture decisions balancing scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Build and maintain production-grade RESTful APIs with secure authentication and versioning.
• Collaborate with AI, product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and external partners to deliver solutions.
• Mentor engineers and enforce coding standards across the team.
