Job summary

Berkley Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Dublin-based enterprise technology team on a contract for 12 months with strong extension potential. The role focuses on AI-enabled workflow automation using Python, Copilot Studio, Power Platform and enterprise API integration.

You will design, develop and deliver solutions, mentor peers, participate in API design, and ensure scalable, production-grade software aligned with enterprise standards in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

Senior Software Engineer - AI & Copilot Studio Contract: Initial 12 months, with strong potential for long-term extension Dublin (3 days per week onsite)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a large enterprise technology environment, working on AI-enabled workflow automation and enterprise software solutions. This is a hands-on engineering role combining Python development, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform and enterprise API integration. You will be involved in solution design, software development and technical delivery, while also providing technical guidance to other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-enabled workflow automation solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Build and maintain Copilot Studio agents, actions, tools and orchestration workflows.
• Develop supporting applications, services and automation components using Python.
• Design and implement integrations using REST APIs, JSON and modern enterprise integration patterns.
• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own or contribute to technical solution design for medium to large development initiatives.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with enterprise engineering standards.
• Carry out code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Mentor developers and support estimation, sprint planning and technical delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years' professional software engineering experience within enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with Swagger / OpenAPI specifications and API documentation.
• Strong knowledge of JSON, web services and integration patterns.
• Experience designing and delivering production-grade enterprise software.
• Experience taking ownership of technical solution design.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.
• Experience performing peer reviews and contributing to engineering standards.Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
