Job summary

AMCS in Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our Architecture team. You will help shape the design and architecture of our cloud-based platform, collaborating with Product and Engineering to deliver scalable enterprise solutions.

The role requires deep Microsoft tech stack expertise (.NET, Web API, Azure services) and solid DevOps, security and architectural judgment to guide platform decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years development experience.
• 3+ years in Software/Technical/Solution Architecture role.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and design patterns.
• Experience building reliable distributed enterprise systems capable of scaling to high traffic.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft stack (.NET, Web API, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with GCP offerings (GKE, Postgres, Cloud Functions).
• Full SDLC understanding with DDD, TDD, CI/CD.
• Experience in Event Driven Architecture, Microservices, Kafka.
• Container tech (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Interest in AI tools and how they accelerate delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define Product Roadmap and architectural designs with Product and Engineering.
• Facilitate cloud-based platform implementation that is secure, cost-efficient, reliable, scalable.
• Define and maintain software architecture standards and best practices.
• Lead design and implementation of scalable and secure software solutions.
• Communicate NFRs and designs effectively to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development teams to align with architectural goals.
