Job summary

AMCS Group is seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to shape the design of our cloud-based platform. You’ll collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver enterprise solutions at scale, ensure security and performance, and guide teams through modern Microsoft tech and AI-enabled development.

You will contribute technically across architecture and core platform offerings while mentoring engineers and driving best practices in DevOps, data security, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 8 years development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a Software, Technical or Solution Architecture role.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and design patterns.
• Exposure to reliable distributed enterprise systems capable of scaling to high traffic.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft stack – .Net (C#), Web Api, Azure Services (incl. Cosmos, Azure SQL, App Insights, Key Vault, AKS/AFD), Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with GCP offerings such as GKE, Postgres, and Cloud Functions.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular/React).
• Full SDLC understanding with DDD, TDD, CI/CD.
• Experience in Event Driven Architecture, Microservices, Kafka.
• Container tech exposure (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Azure/ .Net certification is a plus.
• Interest in AI tooling to accelerate delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define the Product Roadmap with Product and Engineering Management.
• Lead secure, cost-efficient, reliable cloud platform implementations.
• Define and maintain software architecture standards and practices.
• Design and implement scalable, secure software solutions.
• Communicate NFRs and designs clearly to stakeholders.
• Identify and reduce strategic technical debt.
• Collaborate with teams to align with architectural goals.
• Evaluate tools and processes to ensure high-quality products.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to development teams.
• Contribute to core platform packages and templates.
• Stay updated on tech advancements to improve our platform.
• Partner with Architecture, DevOps and Platform teams for automated deployments and governance.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
