Job summary

AMCS Group in Galway, Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join the Architecture team. You will contribute to the design and architecture of our cloud-based platform, collaborating with cross‑BU Engineering and Product teams to deliver scalable enterprise solutions while maintaining security and performance.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years development experience, 3+ years in architecture, and strong Microsoft stack expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years development experience
• 3+ years in Software/Technical/Solution Architecture
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and design patterns
• Experience with distributed enterprise systems at scale
• Proficiency in the Microsoft stack (C#, Web API, Azure services) and CI/CD
• Knowledge of microservices, Kafka, and container tech (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Define Product Roadmap and associated designs / technical enablers with Product & Engineering Management
• Implement a cloud-based secure, cost-efficient, reliable, scalable platform
• Define and maintain software architecture standards and best practices
• Lead design and implementation of scalable and secure software solutions
• Communicate non-functional requirements clearly
• Reduce strategic technical debt
• Collaborate with development teams to align designs with goals
• Evaluate tools and processes to ensure high-quality products
• Provide technical direction and mentoring to teams
• Contribute to core platform packages/template projects
• Stay updated on latest technologies to improve the platform
• Partner with Architecture, DevOps, and Platform Engineering to automate deployments and ensure compliance
