Job summary

The Talbot Group is seeking a Senior Social Care Worker for our Children's Disability Service. The role involves providing person-centred care to service users with an Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism, supporting residential, training and day activities to promote independence.

You will be part of the on-floor duty team, coordinate shifts, and supervise staff under your direction. You will work as part of a MDT to deliver high-quality services and report to the Person In-Charge.

Qualifications

• A Level 7 qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications in Social Care, Social Work, Youth Work, Teaching, Nursing, Childcare with Disability modules (or other relevant discipline/qualification).
• Have at least 2 years experience working in a residential, respite or day service setting with people with an intellectual disability.
• Applicants must be CORU registered or currently in the process of obtaining CORU registration.

Responsibilities

• Work on the floor as part of the duty team and coordinate the shift while on duty.
• Supervise staff under your direction and assist in managing the team.
• Collaborate as part of a MDT in service delivery and report to the Person In-Charge.
• May deputise for the Person In-Charge in their absence and take on appropriate management responsibilities.
