Job summary
The Talbot Group is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Disability Residential Service in Naas. You will deliver person-centred care, support daily living activities, and collaborate with the MDT to promote residents’ wellbeing.
You will work 7 x 12 hour shifts over a 14 day period, with induction, training and ongoing professional development provided. Competitive salary, benefits and staff support are offered.
Qualifications
- Registered nurse in Intellectual Disability/Mental Health division or eligible for registration.
- Experience in residential, respite or day service with persons with intellectual disability.
- Knowledge of Person Centred Planning and HIQA standards.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
Responsibilities
- Identify personal goals for residents using a person-centred approach.
- Support residents to gain qualifications where appropriate.
- Collaborate with MDT, families and other staff to implement individual care plans.
- Regularly assess residents using appropriate assessment models.
- Monitor health status and respond to medical concerns, liaising with GP as needed.
- Carry out nursing duties and medication management per policies.
- Support residents in managing their medications.
- Perform clinical nursing procedures within scope of practice.
