Job summary

Harper Finley Professional Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a main contractor on civil and construction projects in Co. Sligo.

You will be responsible for technical delivery on site, setting out, reviewing drawings, and ensuring works meet design and safety standards. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, 5+ years' experience with a main contractor, strong IT skills, and proven coordination with teams, consultants, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience working as a Site Engineer with a main contractor.
• Strong setting-out experience with equipment such as Total Station, GPS and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and provide technical support to site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and quantities, identifying any discrepancies or issues.
• Coordinate with the project team, consultants, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure works are completed in accordance with design requirements and programme.
• Oversee groundworks and civil engineering activities, ensuring quality and accuracy of installation.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and providing practical solutions to challenges arising on site.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of health & safety requirements.
• Maintain high standards of quality throughout the project, including relevant BCAR documentation and coordination.
• Ensure accurate records and project documentation are maintained.

Senior Site Engineer

Location: Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: €55,000 - €70,000 DOE

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join an established main contractor working on a range of civil engineering and construction projects. The successful Engineer will take responsibility for the technical delivery of works on site, ensuring projects are constructed accurately, safely and in line with the relevant drawings, specifications and standards.
