Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Scheduler to provide schedule and planning services on a major construction project in Cork. The role requires reviewing internal and contractor schedules, maintaining the master plan, and delivering regular progress reports to management and client.

The candidate should have 5+ years in scheduling/planning, strong knowledge of project controls, and the ability to coordinate multiple inputs into a single master schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years scheduling/planning experience.
• Understanding of design or project management concepts, tools and techniques.
• Expertise in project controls and time/schedule management on major construction projects.
• Experience using project scheduling tools.
• Ability to coordinate multiple schedule inputs into a master schedule and deliver status reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Tenacity to inject value and create solutions.
• Understanding of the financial aspects of a project.

Responsibilities

• Review internal schedules, contractor schedules, and analyse, validate and report on time impacts or change impacts.
• Maintain and monitor the master plan schedule.
• Prepare and monitor tasks ensuring project requirements are met per the schedule.
• Develop and manage the integrated work breakdown structure for the project.
• Integrate contract packages into the master plan schedule.
• Review contractor schedules and make recommendations to the client.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and client.
• Monitor progress against milestones and report compliance with the Baseline Programme.
• Engage with contractor and verify project data to update the schedule.
• Assess contractor extension of time claims.
