Gilligan Black Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Sales Manager for the Cork area. You will lead a field-based team of Account Managers, driving strategies set by the Sales Director and ensuring we meet growth targets.

This role offers a base salary up to €90k with bonus potential and excellent benefits. The successful candidate will have a history of managing field-based sales teams in the engineering sector, strong coaching abilities, and a strategic mindset focused on performance analytics

Qualifications

• Experience leading field-based sales teams.
• Bachelor’s/Masters in a business-related field or equivalent.
• Strong track record in sales leadership roles.
• Engineering sector experience is advantageous.
• Must understand building and managing sales plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Account Managers across the Engineering sector.
• Translate Sales Director goals into actionable plans and coach the team.
• Participate in customer negotiations and sales meetings as needed.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and progress tracking.

Senior Sales Manager

This is an incredible opportunity, due to internal progression and growth, for an experienced Sales Manager to join a Global success‑story! As the Sales Manager you will be responsible for a team of Account Managers across the Engineering Sector. It is essential that you have managed a team of field‑based Account Managers in the past and have a history of success. This role is part of the senior leadership team, and you will be responsible for strategically managing, coaching and developing while working towards the goals set out by the Sales Director.

Typically, you will be involved in:

• Managing a team of Account Managers (in the field)
• Understanding the goals set out by the Sales Director, and putting steps in place to achieve these goals
• Get involved, as needed, with customer negotiations and sales meetings
• Manage performance reviews
• Work with senior leaders on the corporate strategy, and being comfortable around analysing sales figures

Joining an established team, who are continuing to succeed – this role will focus heavily on the analysis and strategic planning for the team. It is essential that you have a business‑related Degree (ideally Masters’ qualification), experience within the Engineering sector would be an advantage, along with proven experience managing a field‑based sales team.
