Job summary

ESB Networks is seeking a Senior Regulation Specialist to provide expert regulatory and policy support across the organisation. You will coordinate inputs, manage consultations, and ensure high-quality regulatory outputs to support safe, sustainable network delivery.

The role involves representing ESB Networks with CRU, EirGrid and Government departments, drafting concise summaries, and driving improvements across regulatory processes within a hybrid Smart Working model based at Leopardstown

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• A third-level qualification is essential.
• Strong communications and report writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to distil complex matters to key issues.
• Experience with regulatory bodies and submissions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-business regulatory inputs to craft consultation responses.
• Represent ESB Networks with CRU, EirGrid and Government Departments.
• Manage stakeholder engagements for transmission infrastructure projects.
• Draft high-quality summaries and reports for Senior Manager briefings.
• Support horizon scanning and communicate developments via presentations/newsletters.
• Drive process improvements in regulatory workflows.
• Coordinate major regulatory reports and handle regulatory queries.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and knowledge sharing.
• Track European and Irish regulation implementations (Climate Action Plan).
