Job summary

ESB, based in Dublin, is seeking a Senior Manager for Smart Energy Services. The role leads a growing business within ESB Customer Solutions, building strategy, governance and cross‑functional capabilities across engineering, project management, digital and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in utilities, construction or energy infra sectors.
• Experience in Energy Services or ESCO with energy efficiency and distributed generation knowledge.
• Understanding of Net Zero and low‑carbon energy transition challenges in Ireland.
• Engineering or related degree; strong commercial acumen with risk management.
• Proven leadership to develop high‑performance teams and drive delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a smart energy service strategy aligned with Net Zero goals.
• Balance financial performance, risk, and customer needs in a competitive market.
• Establish governance and risk frameworks to protect and empower the business.
• Lead agile responses and deploy data analytics to meet customer requirements.
• Build a high‑performing SES team with engineering, PM, digital and commercial capabilities.
• Oversee contractor strategy to deliver projects on time, budget, and safely.
• Foster relationships with ESB stakeholders to support growth and decarbonisation.
