Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Real Estate Development Manager to lead the full lifecycle of data centre developments across EMEA, including the UK and Ireland. The role requires ownership of complex development strategies, budgeting, and stakeholder leadership across multiple jurisdictions.

You will be the single-threaded owner, accountable for opportunities from initial consideration through to close-out, with regular travel across EMEA and close collaboration with Business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, management, real estate, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in real estate development management, infrastructure programme delivery, or development-stage asset management.
• Experience engaging with planning authorities, local government bodies, and regulatory agencies in connection with building permits, zoning, and development consents.
• Experience negotiating and administering commercial development agreements (BTS, forward fund, development agreement, or equivalent structures) including provisions for work scope, cost control, change control, and risk allocation.
• Willingness to travel regularly across EMEA and comply with the 5-day return-to-office policy in London.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development lifecycle for AWS data centre projects across EMEA.
• Lead development agreements management from pre-transaction to close-out.
• Oversee land development, permitting, and engagement with AHJs and authorities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align strategy and ensure delivery.
• Travel regularly across EMEA.
