Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Program SHEQ & Rail Safety Assurance Manager to lead client-side across a major Irish rail infrastructure capital programme. You will provide strategic and operational leadership on safety, health, environmental, quality and rail systems assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting skills.
• Experience in safety, quality, environmental and rail systems assurance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the client-side SHEQ and rail safety assurance lead across assigned capital investment projects.
• Provide independent advice on safety, health, environmental, quality and railway operational risks.
• Promote a proactive safety culture aligned with operational railway requirements.
• Lead design risk management and Design Risk Assessment workshops.
• Coordinate design safety reviews and multidisciplinary risk workshops.
• Provide SHEQ input into procurement strategies and contract requirements.
• Participate in tender evaluations and contractor assessments.
• Monitor contractor compliance with legislative and rail safety requirements.
• Review RAMS, permit systems, possession plans and construction safety documentation.
• Interface with operators, maintainers and regulatory stakeholders.
• Develop and monitor programme quality assurance arrangements.
• Conduct audits and monitor quality KPIs.
• Lead quality improvement and lessons learned initiatives.
• Support environmental compliance and sustainability objectives.
