Job summary

SYSTRA is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our growing rail team in Ireland. Based in our city centre offices in Dublin or Cork, you will lead multi-disciplinary technical teams to deliver complex rail and public transport projects, coordinating interfaces and ensuring outputs meet client expectations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Track record delivering multi-disciplinary projects as Engineering Manager or Assistant Engineering Manager/Design Manager.
• Degree in engineering or recognised engineering qualification.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with Engineers Ireland or equivalent body.
• Experience managing complex infrastructure projects and coordinating multidisciplinary rail teams.
• Experience mentoring staff and providing technical leadership.
• Experience with Employer Designed and Design & Build schemes.
• Strong understanding of PSDP and health and safety regulations (Irish Construction Regs).
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Experience across GCCC and NEC contracts desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary technical teams to deliver rail projects successfully.
• Resolve complex technical challenges and manage engineering interfaces.
• Ensure outputs meet client expectations, regulatory requirements and SYSTRA standards.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery partners for effective delivery.
