Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial side of structural steel projects in Southern Ireland. You will work with project teams from take-off through to final account and spend time on site to understand conditions before commercial decisions.

The role requires 7+ years QS experience, strong contracts & procurement expertise, and the ability to manage variations and claims while ensuring payment discipline across on-site and office activities.

Qualifications

7+ years of Quantity Surveying experience in construction.
Strong background in structural steel or related specialist construction.
Good understanding of contracts and commercial project management.
Experience managing variations, claims, procurement and final accounts.

Responsabilités

Review drawings and complete take-offs for structural steel, decking and cladding.
Identify changes from the tender and capture those changes commercially.
Manage subcontractor procurement and accounts; prepare interim payment applications.
Negotiate variations and claims; keep pressure on outstanding client payments.
Spend time on site to verify conditions before making commercial decisions.
From cost planning through to completion, ensure numbers reflect the work delivered.
