Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong structural steel experience to take ownership of the commercial side of live projects in Dublin. This permanent, full-time role offers genuine ownership and a clear path to senior leadership within a respected contractor.

You will manage valuations, variations, applications for payment and final accounts, review contracts and drawings, and collaborate with project teams and clients to keep projects on budget and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within structural steel.
• Strong understanding of structural steel projects, fabrication and erection.
• Experience managing the commercial side of live construction projects.
• Experience with valuations, variations, applications, cost control and final accounts.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Must be based in Dublin or within a commutable distance.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Structural Steel

The Company

The steel leaving this business is destined for some of the most demanding construction environments across Ireland - large commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and infrastructure projects where getting the commercial side right matters just as much as getting the steel on site.

The business is continuing to grow its project portfolio and has reached the point where it needs an experienced Quantity Surveyor who understands structural steel rather than someone learning the trade from scratch.

This is a senior appointment within the commercial function, working closely with project and senior management.

The Role

You will take ownership of the commercial side of live structural steel projects, from contract award through to final account.

You will:

This role is specifically aimed at someone who already understands the structural steel environment.
