Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in structural steel or related construction. You will lead commercial management from cost planning through to final account on major projects across Ireland and the UK.

Key duties include procurement, valuations, variations, claims, interim payments and final accounts, with site visits and close collaboration with clients and site teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' Quantity Surveying experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural steelwork or similar construction projects.
• A relevant Quantity Surveying degree or professional qualification.
• Experience managing variations, claims, procurement and final accounts.
• Experience preparing valuations and payment applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor procurement, including work packages and finalising subcontractor accounts.
• Review tender and construction drawings and identify changes or alterations.
• Complete detailed take-offs for structural steel, decking and cladding.
• Manage and negotiate variations and contractual claims with clients.
• Prepare and submit interim payment applications.
• Compile, submit and finalise client accounts.
• Chase outstanding client payments.
• Carry out regular site visits and work closely with site teams.
• Monitor project costs and commercial performance.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
