Job summary

SSA Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established Main Building Contractor for a permanent role in Cork. You will lead the commercial delivery of major construction projects, from procurement through to final accounts, ensuring costs are controlled and value is delivered for clients and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years’ QS experience with a Main Contractor, strong contractual knowledge and excellent communication skills, and holds or is progressing

Qualifications

Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying.
7+ years' post-graduate Quantity Surveying experience.
Experience with a Main Building Contractor.
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Valid working rights within Ireland.
MSCSI or working towards chartership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Preparing budgets, forecasts and monthly cost reports

SSA is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established Main Building Contractor for a permanent position based in Cork.

About the role:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of major construction projects across the Munster region. You will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, ensuring costs are controlled while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Your responsibilities will include:

Full commercial management of construction projects
Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts and monthly cost reports
Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
Managing valuations, variations and final accounts
