Zusammenfassung

Vickerstock is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Dublin commercial team. You will manage costs from procurement through to final account, collaborating with PMs, site teams and senior management to protect profitability and minimise risk.

You will lead budgets, cost plans, forecasts and commercial reports, while developing procurement strategies and overseeing subcontractor relations. Mentoring juniors and reporting to the Commercial Director are key parts of the role.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 8+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Proven experience managing commercial aspects from procurement to final account.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement and subcontract management.
• Experience negotiating variations and final accounts; targeting margins.
• Excellent financial analysis, forecasting and reporting skills.
• Proficient in Excel and QS software tools (Cubit, CostX, Buildsoft).
• Strong leadership and ability to mentor juniors.

• Lead commercial management of projects with cost control and financial performance.
• Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, valuations and reports.

• Manage subcontractor procurement, documentation, payments and final accounts.
• Monitor costs, identify risks and protect profitability.
• Handle variations, interim valuations and contractual changes.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and suppliers.
• Provide regular financial updates to the Commercial Director.
• Advise teams on contractual obligations and commercial risks.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve issues and maintain performance.
• Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and support the wider team.
• Attend commercial/project review meetings with clear financial updates.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and HSE policies.
