Job summary

Carron + Walsh, part of the Tetra Tech network, seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost planning, procurement, and financial control across its Irish projects. You will drive value and manage risks while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in Cork, Dublin, or Waterford.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least five years of post-qualification experience, with membership in SCSI or RICS preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying with at least five years' post-qualification experience in Ireland.
• Member or working towards membership of SCSI or RICS.
• Experience with cost planning, procurement, and contract administration, with strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed cost planning, forecasting, and reporting with rigorous financial oversight.
• Manage tendering processes and contract administration in line with construction law.
• Drive value engineering and cost optimisation across projects and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and project teams, communicating complex financial data clearly.
• Apply analytical skills and cost management tools to support decision-making.
