Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a well-established Main Contractor in Wexford. The role covers commercial and financial management, procurement, budgeting and cost control across projects.

The ideal candidate has 3 years in a similar role and 6 years in the industry, with a degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying. Salary circa €80k-€90k DOE and a strong benefits package are on offer.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in a similar role.
• 6 years experience in the industry.
• Degree qualified in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects from pre-contract to final account.
• Ability to lead and support junior QS team.

Responsibilities

Senior Quantity Surveyor

A well-established Main Contractor in Wexford is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Role & Responsibilities: Oversee the commercial and financial management of assigned projects. Manage full subcontractor procurement process, ensuring timely & cost-effective delivery. Prepare detailed trade and contract budgets in line with project requirements. Analyse and review package costs, leading negotiations with subcontractors to achieve best value. Coordinate subcontractor appointments & manage ongoing accounts throughout project lifecycle. Administer subcontractor payment processes in an accurate and timely manner. Prepare and monitor project cash flows and interim valuations. Manage change orders and ensure agreement of final accounts with the PQS. Requirements: 3 years experience in a similar role and 6 years experience in the industry. You will be degree qualified in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying. Proven track record of managing complex projects from pre-contract to final account together with leading cost planning, procurement, contract administration & risk management. You will have demonstrated ability to lead and support junior members of the QS team. Highly organised and self-motivated.
